JOB SUMMARY:  The Business Development Officer is responsible for bringing new clients to Forbright Bank for the deposit account needs.  This position will build relationships and provide expert financial advice and great service, while maintaining conformance with established Bank policies, procedures and objectives.  “Service” is the highest priority of the Bank—all employees must strive to provide excellent service and adhere to Bank Standards.
  • Develop and maintain client relations through multiple sources such as asking for referrals, cross-selling, networking, prospecting in order to exceed annual portfolio growth goals
  • Adhere and comply with new account opening procedures for both personal and business account relationships
  • Assist customers in their selection of various accounts and financial services
  • Open, maintain, and close all account types
  • Promote business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and refer customers to appropriate staff for new services
  • Keep track of sales activities and opportunities
  • Follow guidance from senior leadership to execute on the bank’s strategy for product mix, geographic location, etc.
  • Promote Forbright Bank within the local communities of Montgomery County MD, DC and NOVA
  • Perform any functions, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers and co-workers
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum three (3) years banking experience
  • Proven sales ability with track record of success
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Passion for providing outstanding customer service
