JOB SUMMARY:  We are looking to hire a Business Continuity Manager that is responsible for the planning, execution and delivery of key strategic and transformative projects related to Business Continuity Management (BCM).

  • Leads and coordinates the development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans. Assists in the development of operating strategies for the continuation of the business with a recovery time objective
  • Leads business recovery, crisis management, emergency management, contingency planning, disaster-preparedness planning and pandemic planning. Provides support during live events.
    Monitors and reports on the compliance of business continuity processes, readiness, events and exercise results
  • Provides support for the development and delivery of training on business continuity.
  • Assesses and effectively manages all of the risks associated with business objectives and activities to ensure they adhere to and support risk framework
  • Contribute to operational, tactical, and strategic planning in support of the overall business
  • Analyzes business functionality and requirements to ensure the success of a system or software solution
  • Records activities within BCM to be shared as appropriate with business lines, auditors and examiners
  • Maintains BCM policy and procedure documentation
  • Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 7+ years in business continuity planning, preferably in financial services
  • Contingency and Disaster Recovery – Knowledge of approaches, practices, tools and techniques for contingency and disaster recovery operations, and the ability to develop and execute contingency and disaster recovery plans.
  • Crisis Management – Knowledge of crisis management concepts and techniques; ability to predict, avert, mitigate, and recover from an event that has or could have a severely negative impact on the business.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking – Understanding of the issues related to the decision-making process; ability to analyze situations fully and accurately and reach productive decisions.
  • Effective Communications – Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability – Knowledge of successful approaches, tools, and techniques for dealing with changes and adapting to a changing environment; ability to adapt as needed.
