JOB SUMMARY:  We are looking to hire a Director, Commercial Real Estate Lending that is responsible for originating, underwriting, and asset managing real estate loans in the “sustainable finance” space, including construction and bridge loans on “green” buildings and affordable housing as well as senior loans paired with CPACE that will also be originated within the Sustainable Finance division.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interface with Borrowers and Intermediaries to produce deal flow and triage incoming opportunities
• Assess deal credits and underwriting in order to determine appropriate structures for construction and bridge loans
• Create internal memoranda that outline the strengths and weaknesses of a transaction and present them to the Credit Committee
• Manage a commercial real estate loan origination from underwriting to close including property level diligence and negotiation of loan documents
• Manage a portfolio of “sustainable” or “green” commercial real estate loans
• Be involved in the asset management of loans post-closing including draws and modifications.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year, accredited institution
• 7-10 years’ experience in Commercial Real Estate lending
• Highly motivated business professional, able to thrive in small-team environment
• Extensive knowledge of Excel, Argus
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Outstanding organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
